Moms Like Sanjaya Malakar

Regardless of those who think Sanjaya needs to be booted off AI, they're just not listening. Why do so many preteens, teens and moms want Sanjaya to stay? It's easy -- he has a calm easy and true caring soul -- not often found in a 17-year-old!

Look at it this way, so far, the only true song critics and coaches who really know their stuff and have made a mark in America, all were impressed with Sanjaya. Even Randy, Paula and Simon have all said that he can sing -- they just want to see more of his personality and hear a little more of his voice.

While I personally don't own any of Tony Bennett's tunes, he loved Sanjaya and Motown Megastar and top-selling women's recording artists, Diana Ross, said that Sanjaya had a spirit that she hadn't seen in years...or something close to that.

Everything was summed up quite easily by Jennifer Lopez, when she remarked that she was very impressed with Sanjaya and thought Simon would be too.

What I can't stand and feel is rudely unfair is for the media to come up with some stinky stuff by saying that Malakar can't sing -- no one on the American Idol show ever said that.

I doubt if any of the hundreds of radio and TV hosts, columnists, TV Show Producers and journalists, who have ALL jumped on the goofy "let's all say the same thing," band wagon, even watch the show -- or perhaps may have not ever even listened to him...how could they if they all retort the same old junk in their programs, columns and blogs?

That's just it -- one person in the media said he couldn't sing and all the rest followed like lost little puppies. Come on - be original. Give the guy a chance and watch the darn show before you open your mouth and offer ridiculous opinions - (well OK, this one isn't as snotty or detrimental as most).

However - you guys are just not getting it.

Mom's love Sanjaya because he's everything we hope our little boys will grow up to be: Polite, Calm, Totally Down With Respect Toward Others, Hip, Cool (but not abrasive), sings amazingly well and in-tune and the list could go on forever!

Sanjaya hit the nail on the head when he replied to Simon's remarks, during the 04/03/07 show, "Welcome to Sanjaya's Universe!"

Baby, It's Cold Outside: A Tough Time With Weather!

Hey, what happened to the spring-like weather? It's downright nippy outside and has been for the last week. Poor NY -- snow again?

Just when my tan was looking pretty snappy, (old word being made popular again), it's so cold outside, long pants pulled back out of the newly organized closet -- you know the one -- Spring Fling Cling -- I mean "Clean," that I happily expelled a full day of pentup energy on...works well for working out frustrations too.

Even though I was plugging along, all the time thinking "YAY! I'm going to be well-organized and way ahead of the game before summer actually gets here -- for the first time in my life."

When in real life, every 20 minutes or so I'd hear, "Honey, can you bring me some cough medicine? Sweetheart, I really need an extra blanket...thanks hon. Hey, this one is too heavy...can you find...?"

Ever have that happen to you? If you are a mom or wife, you know exactly what I mean. There's nothing more agitating than having a whiny individual, much less a grown whining man (hubby), calling out every few minutes for yet another "do me a little favor" in a "look at me, I'm REALLY sick" voice.
